My Sims Can't Get Married after patch
Hi, my sims can't get married after that My Wedding Stories patch. How can I fix this? I got rid of the UI Mod and aside from CAS and BB items, that was the only the mod I had. I click on the arch and it the option to "exchange vows" or "get married to" are greyed out and it says "The engaged sim isn't here" when both sims are on the lot and near the arch.
EA. PLEASE let us turn off Grim Reaper Rewards and ads.
How can I turn it off? I'm not at all interested in the rewards or the challenges. It's sitting in the corner of my screen ruining my gameplay. Will it go away eventually or am I just stuck with it? Even if this one goes away will I be able to remove the next one?! I thought it would maybe be like the discovery quests that you can opt in or out of, which I already have turned off. PLEASE LET ME TURN IT OFF! I'm so confused as to why they made this a in game situation. Everyone plays this game very differently and this is making me want to stop playing. I've checked all the settings and tried multiple saves and there's nothing you can do. I'm more than annoyed by it, I see a lot of people in the sims community are also wanting to remove this. Stop forcing this kind of thing down our throat. I'll be here searching the internet until this problem has been resolved or until someone makes a mod to remove it all together. You know and I might as well throw in that Vivaland looks better and better everyday......
Reaper Event Bug: Missing Tasks, UI Locked, and Unable to Play—Any Fixes?
I started the Reaper event yesterday, and initially, everything was fine. But then the game stopped recognizing the lily and snapdragons I planted, which seems to be a common bug. I saved and exited the game, hoping it would resolve, but when I loaded it up again today, the event tasks were completely missing. I can still see the rewards, and it's showing I have the ‘Assistant to the Grim Reaper’ task left, but the tasks themselves have disappeared from the game. I’ve already tried disabling and removing all my mods, deleting the localthumbcache, and even repairing the game, but nothing seems to fix it. The tasks aren’t showing up in the original save I started or in any new save either. On top of that, I've been having an issue where I can’t even open the event UI. I tried deleting the AccountDataDB file, thinking it might help, but now the situation is even worse. When I launch the game, I’m stuck on the “Reaper event is on” screen. I can’t click "Play Now," and I can’t even close the window by clicking the X in the corner. Has anyone else experienced these issues and managed to fix them? At this point, I’m completely locked out of the game and could really use some advice on what to try next.
Scare seeker lot challenge broken?
I play on PS5 and am doing the grim rewards. One of the tasks is to set the scare seeker lot challenge, I have done so. Nothing is happening, though. About once a day my sim will have a bored moodlet that says "not even one good scare" am I supposed to be doing something to trigger something scary? I tried removing and reapplying the challenge, as well as restarting my game. Any advice?
Reaper rewards bug
Will they be fixing the reaper rewards bug??? I am not seeing any prompts so I can’t complete any of the missions… I’m not sure why it stopped working… I don’t use cheats or mods or anything like that, I’m very basic with my game play… however I saw this is a very common issue on Reddit and I have no idea how to even locate the files those people are talking about… what do I do????
Sim cannot go to prom
Hello, no matter what I have tried, my sim cannot go to prom. I have researched and many have said it clashes with Get Famous, so I launched my game without the pack and it still did not work. I have also taken out all custom content and mods to see if that was the issue and it still did not work. I have turned off aging and it did not work. Prom has come around 4 times now. One of the times, I got the pre-prom get together invitation and it took me there, then I got the pop-up notification that prom was starting and I selected the option to go to the prom with him, then nothing happened. The game just went on like nothing happened, and prom was no longer on the calendar. Another time, I went to the pre-prom get together, then come 7 pm I don't get any notification that prom is starting. Once again, prom just vanishes off the calendar. The most recent time, I got the invitation to the pre-prom get together and prompted my sim to go, and then nothing happened. So I waited around until 7, and no surprise there was no pop-up notification to go to prom, and it just vanishes off the calendar. I am at a loss for what else I can even do. It's very frustrating as nothing else in the High School years expansion pack really excites me, and prom is what I was most excited for. When researching ways to fix this problem, most people posting about it are from 2 years ago, so I'm very confused on how this bug is still not fixed. Has anyone been able to go to prom with their sim??My game will let me create a new game but not load into a saved game
Hello all, everytime I go onto my sims 4 and try to load into a saved game it just sits on the blue loading screen for hours, I tried last night to create a new game and see if it would let me do that and it did and I played in that game for hours but I saved it and got off for the night and today tried going back into the one I created last night and it’s again just sitting on the loading screen for hours, it wasn’t doing this until the most recent updates…. I reached out to support and they couldn’t help me so I figured I’d post it on here to see if anyone is dealing with this same issue and if so how did you resolve it? It’s extremely frustrating. I’m playing on windows btw! I also attached a photo of the loading screen that just sits up there for hours.
