I was attempting to kill off a visiting sim whilst playing a household in a pseudo-historical save, for reasons, but I forgot that the specific cheat I used with MCCC would actually kill one of my played sims, so he's now a ghost. He's now hanging out with his wife and kids whilst aiming to complete his Soul's Journey.
It wasn’t good that the cheat killed one of your played sims rather than the intended visiting sim 🙁 I hope that his life as as a ghost goes well.
It feels a little like karma got me through him. It was going ok when I was playing that family so we'll see how he gets on when I switch back to them. He's still romantically involved with his widow and has relationships with his kids so it will be interesting to see if that continues in the long-term.
