EA use game changers as cheap advertisement for their products. I can understand to a degree why people want into the programme but I can relate more to people like LGR who were offered the opportunity and declined for their channel integrity.
I have great respect for people who can say no to a tempting offer of free games. I wonder when we will get LGR review of IL
Not just free games, free trips, free merchandise etc. I don’t really agree with it either. A person cannot be on the receiving end of those things and maintain they are not biased. Even a game changer admitted that.
LGR’s review comes out today I believe.
Oh I would just like to correct you on that. It's certainly possible, I'm one such person and I'm part of a group that are all like this. We get it all for free, including trips to the company on almost a yearly basis so they can get this feedback specifically. See if you always say things are great, nothing will evolve. And they WANT to evolve to always be attractive on the market.
Generally speaking, most of the game changers are not unbiased. Getting given free mice and keyboards, clothes, and other game merch dlc and trips regularly makes you biased to whatever you are reviewing.
My Husband is a game dev. (Not for EA!) I play some of the games he makes but of course I’m biased and I couldn’t review his games objectively if I cared too. Even a game changer admits that she is biased because she’s in the programme. If being in the programme is boosting your channel and giving you opportunities, in turn giving your channel promotion and views; of course you aren’t going to give that up by being overly negative so you get removed from the programme. LGR wasn’t in the game changer programme, he used to get codes, then he got too negative and now he doesn’t get codes anymore.
