There are fees in the game though, I recently forgot to pay a loan and I got a pop up saying I had to pay the loan + a fee. There, I had the choice to pay or ignore it, the latter which would have probably resulted in an even bigger fee.
Thanks. Good to know. Might be a challenge though in a household with many sims, as if anyone else than the graduated checks the mail, I assume they will not get the link to pay another sim's debts.
My sims get the loan only for administrative purposes. If they can't afford the rather cheap education, I won't send them anyway. With several students in the same residential dorm house, it's easier when term costs are gathered as loans.
