I think the caves will be a rabbit hole like the cave in Sulani. As someone else mentioned, the "unicorn" horn may be a reward for going through the cave and getting the correct answers to the pop-up questions. I think if there was more to it, they would have shown us, but hopefully I will be wrong.

Maybe they didn't want to show us everything so we will have surprises and hidden features to discover by ourselves. The picture of pink horse and how its horn was glowing and sparking was sus

I like to think this but it’s also an expansion selling feature to some and I don’t think they’d leave that out of marketing especially when the biggest criticism is there wasn’t much in the pack. I cannot remember if they hid things like aliens and sixam from the GTW marketing, I remember they advertised mermaids for island living.

I don’t expect them and don’t expect much from the caves. But it would be a nice surprise if there was unicorns and a secret world or something.
