University and population count increase?

I can't seem to find it, but with each expansion and maybe even game pack the game gets an increase of how much Sims you can have in one save before culling starts...Last I knew it was over 600 Sims...what is it now? Does anyone know?

    Well, not all of them will be NPCs, obviously. A lot are my own sims anyway <3

    I wonder if an increased cap will increase the number of random townies.

    800? Holy plumbamoly! I have over 80, trying not to get to the 200 recommended max too fast. (For played sims) But I guess I shouldn't worry too much about it then.
