TS4 isn’t like the older games anyway. Being level 10 in a career means very little since you can continue to get promoted as many times as you like. If your Sim start at level 10, they can probably reach something crazy like +10 or +20 overmax levels.
Another great point! I think the only career I've ever reached level 10 in was the Athletics one and I didn't even pay attention to if you could overmax! That makes things much better!
