University In Other Worlds

I don't have uni*, but I have some dorms in other worlds. I pretend the sims living there are exchange students. I haven't actually tested it yet, but think it should be fun. If I had free lots available could also make commons.

*uni built in other worlds. I do have the pack just to clarify.

Can you please tell me how it works? Like, when you enroll do you get the option to move into a dorm in any world that has one? Then do the sims vanish when they go to class and just return later, the same as if they were studying from home? What about uni clubs? I presume they would still be held in Britechester?

I never tried, but I think you can build the dorm in any world. They will still need to get to Britechester for classes though, so you will probably just see them vanish at the dorm's gate.

I put a dorm in Windenburg. As long as you set up the lot properly, it will appear as a choice when they apply.
They simply teleport to class and return when they are done.

Since the campus isn't visible, I filled the dorm with plenty of things to do, since there isn't any other student life about, or student commons nearby, not that it matters much with loading screens. It's more for immersion.

I don't bother with campus activities much anyway.
I would rather have my sims interact with others in the dorm or the objects.

I have sent students to university from other worlds. Only recently had two sims attend while living in an apartment in Evergreen Harbour. They could apply for scholarships and enroll for university with their computer or mailbox. The classes were just like going to a base game job or school for teens. My sims just vanished at the edge of the lot.

To be honest I enjoyed it this wat because last time when I had a sim live on campus she was always late to classes because it took forever to get to the right building. And I always had trouble to figure out which building her classes would be in.

You can build a dorm room in another world and I think they would disappear into the rabbit hole for a little bit.
