Now, see, you just summed it up best in regards to all of their game packs with the phrase "overdoing basically fine ideas". Yessssss!!! It's like I don't want to complain when they add something great that everyone asked for but then they always go overboard with some aspect of the game. Also, whereas when my regular non-university career Sims complete their job, but not all the work, they still tend to get promoted.
However, thus far, it doesn't seem to be the case for Uni Sim Students. I don't want to use a cheat, but I'll see how long a term takes for Sims to complete without using one!
