That's what I was afraid of. I don't want her academic progress to suffer, but I'm also worried about what mischief a few of my other households might get themselves into if I leave them alone for that long!
sorry @MoonlightGraham I should have been clearer.
They will participate badly in school while unplayed only if you leave them enrolled in school (with class days left in the term) while you are playing other families.
If not enrolled, they won't be in school at all, but there will still be a record of the grades they got and credits they earned while you were playing them, so you can pick back up again and re-enroll for another term when you want to play them for another term.
