Unlikely next pack is Vacation/Occult based

Ok...

But, these polls about supernaturals just barely came out last week, so there’s no way anyone in this section of the forums could have known that they were just NOW asking people about witches. Most of the posts speculating on witches possibly being next were made prior to SimGuruGrant’s polls.

Whatever is next will clearly be something most of us didn’t predict. I have no idea what it will be. I just hope it’s interesting

Hence why I’m mentioning that’s it’s unlikely.

Actually, I believe they already have some of these things in the works. SimGuruKate recently made a post that stated many things are already simultaneously in progress and in varying stages of development. Grant even said something about the polls being more for information on what things to prioritize. So it may just be a matter of where they choose to direct their focus in the next few months in order to complete one of the themes.

Development doesn't work in singularity. There are always several things going at a time, we were told this quite a while back. For example, they didn't just decide to do toddlers in a few months, they were being worked on for at least two years, alongside other projects. Cats and Dogs had also been in development for several years. Seasons, probably the same. Meanwhile, bits and pieces of other creations are out there waiting to be fine-tuned and joined into a cohesive theme, especially now that those work-intensive, long projects have all been released. So it's not so unusual to think that a fan request could be next.

This. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Witches GP by year end. There have been enough polls and threads on the forum to indicate that witches are the most wanted occult. I think they were just polling to see what the second favorite would be.

^^ I agree with the users above, I'm sure the polls serve as a way for developers to set their priorities in an order that'll please us. It's not like the second a certain theme wins Grant's twitter poll a meeting is called and work is being started on DLC with said theme.

I'm sure some kind of supernatural pack is being worked on as we speak. They just want to see how much our expectations match with the direction they're going.

I know, but I still love seeing those twitter polls, because it’s a form of communication from the devs, and it seems the devs are taking feedback into consideration for themes in the far future. It gives me an idea of things the devs are thinking about. :smile:

I do want those things soon, but I also want it all. The game is much, much fuller and I can wait. I admit I'll be hyperventilating when they announce Witches but that doesn't make me disappointed in other packs. Sometimes we (some of us) just enjoy the speculation.
I didn't think I'd enjoy Seasons as much as I am. When a new pack comes out I've always found something to enjoy about it.
