I’m just upset we most likely won’t get University/Education/whatever for ages, I just finished my degree and I wanna live vicariously through it in sims
Oh and to stay kinda on topic, I’m really surprised people care so much about having witches. Mermaids I kinda get though because they could be involved in an Island Paradise-esque pack.
See, I'm the opposite. I totally get wanting witches and magic, but I don't get the hype about mermaids. I feel like magic is something that would be more universal to the game and would make my Sims' lives a lot more interesting, especially when throwing vampires into the mix. But mermaids can only exist in the water and probably only in specific worlds. I suppose they could allow for "land legs" as a power, but honestly, just don't see the appeal. I do love occult states, but I guess I never really considered mermaids to be an occult. More like mythical fae. And I'd love to have a full-blown mythology pack with a great variety of fae beings. Just mermaids aren't my top preference.
I also kind of feel like the whole "island vacation, swimmable oceans" eludes me as well. I guess it would be cool to be able to actually use beaches in general, but I feel like it's something I would do twice and be over it. I hardly ever even give my Sims swimming pools because it's kind of boring to watch them swim in circles. It would be the same for me with an island vacation. It would be interesting once or twice, but then I'd be done with it. Magic would have much more longevity for me, I put some witches in my game years ago, they just need their proper powers.
In the end, we definitely should get both Witches/magic and islands/mermaids because they are all highly requested. And I think we will. :)
