Also, using them inflates the bills to absurd levels. A couple of sim-weeks ago it was fall, and since it was cool/cold out, I set the thing to "warmer." End of the week after 3 or so days of use, my bills had quadrupled (under 3K to over 11K). That is just insane levels of use.
Now I don't even turn it on. I just made 2 sets of cold-wear -- one with a coat and one with a sweater, and put the Sims in sweaters indoors when it is cold out. But really that should not be how thermostats work.
I agree with this. The only purpose I can see for them is just to make the bills higher and giving the game more challenge and even then its unrealistic at that.
I think its just silly you can’t set your own seasons, lengths and order. And I agree Oasis Springs is a world I really dislike now because it basically has one season. Amd I know it’s the desert, but what happened to “You Rule”
