Probably, but this animation has been in the code for a long time just like the rest of all the other animations.
And as you can see, there are a lot of other version of the running animation.
Ok. Maybe it was intended for sims with high Fitness skill.
For now, I'll return to researching how long does elder pet stage lasts on long settings. Help is appreciated. Sorry for changing the discussion.
The girl sim I used in the picture above already had maximum fitness skill though.
Hmm, you might need to try the "Playable Pets" mod since you can see the UI for pets age, though not sure for elder because elder stage will only tell you how many days you've lived instead. Good luck with your research!
