What's going on here? I only first heard this super creepy noise and it came and went around my sims lot, then I finally spotted that it was a wild fox making the 'sound'. Then there's this super weird visual effect around the fox: can anyone tell me what is going on?🤔 I've no clue. And the sound is beginning to be very annoying. https://i.imgur.com/6SlkcM8.pngUpdate: so I figured out why this happened and apparently a custom trait I had downloaded got applied to every single fox. Kinda weird, but it was an easy fix.

Foxes sneak into your sims' coops and steal eggs at night or early in the morning. I've even seen them carrying the eggs in the mouth (usually they drop the eggs if challenged or shooed, in my experience). If they enter it, the coop will rock back and forth with feathers flying in their air and the chickens squawking in agitation. Foxes have also been known to attack chickens if there are no eggs to steal. The two times this happened to me, the rooster and the hen were both able to fight them off successfully, luckily; they were "young adult" fowl (who were also very happy, full and contented at the time) so that may have been the reason why. The cloud you're seeing could be a fight with a chicken. I have also found my camera will automatically go over to an elder fox who is dying, which is also annoying.

That sounds a lot like some sort of sickness the fox has. Do you have Cats & Dogs installed by any chance? Curious if some sort of illness fell upon that wild fox as a result of owning the EP.

I wonder whether it could have eaten one of the new mushrooms. Maybe Michael Bell gave it some of his mushroom berry mash. :D

@calaprfy Indeed, I've never seen anything like it, and it's not the only fox either.

That sound is familiar to me. It's the same sound that also plays on sims who have been mesmerized by a vampire.

The cloud is weird though... After looking through a video about vampire powers, the yellow circles are also on sims who have been mesmerized by a vampire, but I didn't find anything about the cloud.

Ah yes, I recognize the sound, you're right. My sims have been visited by vampires at night - could there be a weird effect off that? I've no idea honestly.

That’s so weird.
Perhaps the others are right that it’s some bug with another pack.
Although the foxes ? in CoL are independent? Are they defined as an animal the same as cats and dogs or an object attached to the lot challenge? ???‍♂️.
So if the fox is there to attempt to steal eggs, only actions related to the chicken ? coup should register? Anything else should be ignored.

The fox looks like it's dazed or something. Maybe its mind controlled by a vampire. :lol: The vampire called and said to the fox, bring me a chicken to feast on its blood, or something like that. Do vampires feed on the cows and make them weak and dry their milk?

What chickens and eggs do you have? Maybe the fox ate a special egg and got the effects from it, like the effects from eating a golden egg or an obsidian egg.

@ncisGibbs02 Yeah it's super weird. Not sure what to make of it.

I have this mod that fixes vampire invasions, so I took it out in hopes that it was the culprit, but nope still this weird mystery. Besides the noise, I don't mind it, but I've removed the fox challenge for now, because there were SO many of these mystery foxes, and it was getting a bit noisy and cramped haha.

@logion The foxes can't get to the chickens, because I've locked the gate. I get all kinds of eggs, green, blue and orange so far. Haven't delved into any of the special treat ones yet.
