They both look like an improvement, but I wouldn’t have done away with the other ones just like that. They seem like two different styles.
Was the female one not available for males also? It will look odd on him now, with the baby hair and all that.
Then again, I don’t know what it’s like to have textured hair or how it’s ‘meant to be’ worn. I’d be the last one to ask in that regard.
