  • @honeypooh1267 Where did you find the information about pets not becoming famous? I haven't seen anything about that.

I got all of it from the sims team's tweets.

No, this pack doesn't offer a way for pets to become famous.

So when the news dropped I was rather indifferent about the fame system. I was more stoked about the world and the active acting career. But reading the blog post about how fame works it actually seems really interesting. The perks and quirks system sounds a lot like the vampire levels (nothing wrong with that it was one of the best packs). I think its pretty cool if they implement some sort of pro's and con's list. From the minor tid bits we got it seems like they are really fleshing out how the world around you changes when you're famous. Definitely more excited now.

This is his reply to my question about an acting skill? I remembered that in TS1 superstar there was a acting skill I had wondered if there was one in get famous.

I don't believe we've discussed Acting in depth yet, so stay tuned for more information on how it works in the future.

I’m really curious on how sims can earn the fame through other careers (in terms of visibility). Would they have something like Sims 3’s Opportunities or maybe Chance cards, etc?

For painting, maybe something like paint a masterpiece would provide some fame, or write a best seller if you're a writer.

A famous criminal would be interesting

If you're a famous criminal then you're doing a bad job lol

That's simply not true. Jack the Ripper, the Zodiac Killer, Pablo Escobar, and several more serial killers and kingpins are famous criminals that were "good" at what they did. They were all horrible, degenerate people, but they are still celebrated with documentaries and movies, talked about and even seen as pop culture figures to some. Shows like Making a Serial Killer wouldn't exist if there were no "good" famous criminals.
