Uploading screenshots?

Asking a question even if it is silly is still asking, best to know for sure than not.

There are image hosting sites around that can help, you can upload pictures there and link the uploaded picture link to this forum. For example i use imgur to upload pictures to and take the link generated and post it on this forum. i make sure they are tagged appropriately so they can be seen on the forum.

Due to the way this forum picks up on BBcode, i can't give a proper example as the forum will pick it up, but i might be able to bypass around that particular filter: link (remove the spaces between the brackets and code)

I use imgbb dot com. It is for free and you don't even have to sign up. Just upload a picture and copy bbcode full and then paste it here.

No, you have to use a third party site. I like imjur myself. Photobucket is now charging for use, sadly. Once you have uploaded your screenshot to a third party site there should be a code you can copy that will allow you to import it to this site. (I use forum in imjur.) Anymore all I have to do is click where in the post I wish to place the screenshot and paste it.

I wish this forum would update the way we can post screenshots. Seriously, it’s 2020 and we still have to use third party image sites to upload like it’s 2007. ?

Although to be fair, forums in itself are very 2007 lol.

Right now Photobucket is a mess, a lot of very unhappy people.

i used to use photobucket when it was free so i just switched to imagur or however you spell it.

I use Imgur as well. Just set up an account (it's free) and start uploading pictures. Once you click on an uploaded picture, select 'copy direct URL' and paste it in the little text box that pops up when you click the image icon in your message on the forum (the icon with a little mountain and a sun).

I read somewhere that it is expensive to have a hosting images feature. So making people use already free hosting sites out there is the best and easiest option. XD
