Using A Controller With Sims 4 On PC?

I have Controller Companion and an XBox controller for my laptop. However, I tried to play the Sims 4 with the controller and it's just a hassle, I'd much rather use my mouse, so I mainly use Controller Companion for other games.

I doubt that The Sims 4 is designed for a controller in mind, due to the large amount of functions and controls you use.

no you can't i tried my steelsteries one and it didn't work only mouse work

I tried usinb my Xbox360 controller today, and it works. But i can not rotate the camere, and since the game doesn´t have control settings, i cannot fix it.

If you have steam you can use a steam controller with big picture to play sims 4. It's working for me, but it takes some work for it to be able to function perfectly

I hate those things for pc gaming. In fact, I've stopped buying pc games that require them

Joytokey works, you just have to spend a lot of time setting it up. You have to open the joytokey app and set what you want every button to do

I am having the same issue. They have it released on gaming platforms, so why can't they update it so we can play it handheld. The game works much better on the PC than a game console, its a loose loose.

How were you able to get it to function for you? I just deleted origin and the siks4 game in the origin folder, so deleted everything from there and just downloaded sims onto steam library folder, (all of this done in files app,) then went into steam and opened up Sims4 from the library. I saw steam said the game might use the steam controller pad as an alternative controller, but when I use it (I’m using a PS3 DualShock controller,) none of the buttons work. Not the joystick on the left side or the arrow (directional ‘?’ pads,) I was just wondering if there were any tips on how tot get used to it
