It's seriously a hot mess. No one eats at the same time, or even in the same room when called to eat. No one obeys curfew. Kids are on the monkey bars at 2am in the rain. There are messes everywhere, dishes and spoiled food everywhere, kids playing in a water puddle next to a sparking washer, homework is started and stopped and then lost. They surround the single parent like they might be getting ready to tie them up and start a bonfire around them. There are so many dirty clothes from them changing that laundry is never done. There's one in a bear costume and I just got a notification that one of the others has developed a mean streak. There are twins and I can't tell them apart. I read up on how to play with Sim kids before I started it, too. Structure and schedules were a big must-have. I'm lucky the house is still standing. How do I control these things?

I turn off the option to have them do things on their own and micromanage all their actions.

Yikes, how many Sims do you have in your households?! I'd turn autonomy off for a while and try micromanaging. Or, have fewer children if you've got a house full. I can just about cope with two adults and three kids at the same time. Delete the laundry baskets if that's stressing you out. And I've learned not to be bothered by the fact that they rarely eat at the same time - they just eat when they're hungry.

How many kids and what ages? How old is the parent and what gender?I usually take care of the parent first. Everything seems to be much easier when the parent isn't about to pass out, pee herself, and starve. I even lock her bedroom door so she can get a full sleep.Don't worry about schedules or eating together. Make sure there's enough food and let the kids eat when they want.Homework is cheap. Just buy another homework book if one of them gets lost.Buy some wall defender lights and put them near the kids' beds if you're having trouble with monsters under the beds.Get rid of the laundry stuff for now. That will save you a lot of time. Consider hiring a maid if you can afford it.You can give the twins different clothes, hairstyles, and/or haircolors to help you tell them apart.

I will assume you have a single parent and twins in your household and you have installed Parenthood.1. Cooking in a big batch is always helpful. It is fulfilling and you can turn it into lunchbag when they wake up feeling hungry.2. Use parenting option a lot. You can discipline them or make them doing the dishes, talk them out of their phase, etc.3. If you are playing for pleasure, consider 'adjustments'. Delete the hamper, use potion, or maybe use the cheat.

Cooking in advance is a must. Let them handle eating in their own.Messes and Homework need some parenting actions and aggressively so.Don't be afraid to yell at your kids for disobedience, but also remember to approve of positive behavior, They will learn in time.As for streaks - yeah, this one is a... certain B word.Kids are one thing, though. 2 toddlers with 1 parent...now THAT is for brave and bold. Trust me on this.

If you want TRUE chaos, then install Foster Care mod and have toddlers as fosters.
You can't control your fosters :)

When cooking make at least two meals for the maximum amount (8?) and store in fridge and they just help themselves, or if you have toddlers, skip the highchair put it in storage and put the plate of food on a coffee table (they can even reach the bench)

This is what annoys me about sims 4, why can't they fix these things, I've complained in the right areas, and when they did surveys. Yet I never use highchairs, because one parent puts them in, goes off to get food and the next parent rips them out and stands there holding them. Dumps them on the floor and leaves them hungry

Your household sounds amazingly chaotic and incredible :smiley:
The last time I had a household like this, i remember it was full on and I loved it, so much so when one would move out due to having grown up I would need to have more children to keep the chaos going. I find with my toddlers, the hardest part is they never recover their energy as fast as i'd like so I have to interrupt their sleep to get up and learn a skill.
