I go the jungle route as there is something to do there.

I am personally in love with Sulani, especially to have sims live there actually. I have used it as a vacation location too, and that works beautifully and your sims will be happy and relaxed when returning, but it's when you live there you really get the community feeling. Every day something is going on. Two days a weak at 6pm you can eat with the community, a bbq and a potluck event. Every Sunday at 9 am there is a family day at the beach (note that this is not on the beach lot, but a beach that isn't a part of the lot). Every Friday night there is a bonfire at the beach (same beach, everything happens there, and there is really rarely a reason to go to the actual beach lot). Once a week there is a fishing competition, then there is a art festival of some kind and a flower festival - those are less fun but a great way to meet the community. The beach bar is a fun place to hang out as well, and Sulani itself is beautiful. I can't say that I understand why some thinks there is too little to do, I've found lots of stuff, from swimming, fishing, snorkling, diving, playing in the sand with the kids, cleaning the beach, playing with dolphins and hanging with the community I have more than enough to do there.

So yeah, my recommendation would be Sulani, but it really is up to which kind of activities you enjoy. I hate cold and winter, so snowboarding and skiing was never my thing. To be honest though, I've only had sims vacation and visit in Mt Komorebi, so I haven't tried everything yet and I don't know the "feel" of the place when you live there.

The jungle is also fun for a while, and the world is beautiful, but exploring it takes forever in sim-time so bring a tent, a cot and food to save time so you can sleep on the way, and make sure your sim has a long holiday to have time for it.

I was actually in Hawaii for a while - courtesy of Uncle Sam's canoe club - loved the place, but never think of Sulani. On the other hand, am frequently using the bb material in nearly every build I do. Even the ones supposed to be Regency/Victorian.

Why not both? A two week vacation, one week in each place.

Pretend you are taking them to Southern California and give them a few days at the beach in Sulani and a few days of skiing in Mt. Komorebi. It's totally possible to do both in the same day in Southern California so it's realistic.

If you take them skiing then make sure the weather is good. If there is a blizzard going on they will be stuck indoors and there are no fun things to do in the premade houses. They don't even have a TV so fun meter usually goes in the red.

I almost always pick the jungle or granite falls. They seem most relaxed after cloud or star gazing and you get a boost from hiking in granite falls. Also...I have no space in Sulani to vacation they're all residential in my world but it's a good option as well.

Odd. I remember lots of green everywhere, and I was on Oahu. That was 1973-74, so maybe times have changed. I have a cousin that spent nearly 12 years there on the navy's dime. A 4-year tour at Pearl Harbor, then sea duty on a ship - home port Pearl Harbor which turned into a scheduled yard period there, then another tour at Pearl, only a different command. Not hard to take.

I like to remove some of the vacation homes and replace them with communal lots so there are things to do beyond outdoorsy stuff. I tend to favour Selvadorada over Granite Falls but I definitely use both. I also occasionally use Henford-on-Bagley's vacation home.

My hubby was also in Uncle Sam's canoe club. LOL Love the name you came up with. I visited Hawaii, actually Oahu when my Army son was stationed there. I wasn't impressed, sadly. I expected the luscious greenery, but on the smaller island it was more brown, or yellow from scorched grass. Sulani, on the other hand, is beautiful. I'm so glad to have a more favorable honeymoon spot. The last time I sent a couple on their honeymoon to Mt. Komorebi, it was glitched and they couldn't get out of their rental. :open_mouth:
