Also, I love exploring the little secrets around a neighbourhood, like collectibles, fishing spots, etc. - I think it makes every world worth a visit!
I'm not sure if it's still the case, but it used to be you had to spend a lot of time in a neighborhood to get dig rocks to start spawning and wild plants to start producing. So being on vacation should help with the collecting.
