Valedictorian without going to Copperdale

Well this is a first for me, unfortunately I can't play it out because it happened in my 100 baby challenge and once they age up they are kicked out into the world as they age up LOL. But I will definitely attempt it in a non challenge save again ;)

  • I forgot to mention. In my challenge game the teens dont go to Copperdale. I still sent them alone to the old high school. I ignore all the new options. They purely do homework, extra credit and school projects (parenthood) sometimes two a day. They get earbuds ( fitness pack) which I turn on when they get the school message at 7am. That way they study hard without losing fun needs. I had a toddler stubborn to get skilled up. So my teen went to school with an A longer than usual. I age everyone the same day with cake as soon as they all completed their challenge goals. So I guess he got more than an A. It was a first though, usually they just graduate with honors ;)
  • I could not recreate this even with a teen with A's for a week. I think it was a fluke or its a chance card occassionally won by a sim not attending Copperdale.
  • Way cool, even so. None of my Teens ever got a chance to attend hs graduation. When my Teen aged up, he was labeled a Drop Out. I tried again, by rolling back. I even checked his grades the evening prior to his birthday. He was carrying an A average. That's OUTSTANDING in my mind and generally speaking, so hard to do. Still, he went to school the next day, aged up after he got home and again the sad music and the pop up saying he had dropped out. What the fetch? This is crazy. My solution. I had his two younger siblings who were attending with him graduate early. They both have that Trait now and their diplomas. So, I chose to let him go the next week with the notion if he gets the offer again I would allow him to graduate early. I had reset my goal to have Teens in University.
  • Wow that is so weird @GalacticGal . I did hear that grades dont improve by joining a teenager in school everyday. Someone suggested letting them go the old style atleast once a week so grades can improve. Not sure if that has been fixed since I read it, but it might be worth a try ;)
  • I just had an interesting occurrence in my game, yesterday. Since I was busy trying to sort out which of the many Save As, saves I have to make certain, this time, that all of the Teens I was sending to Uni had actually graduated early, I decided to add another family that was sorely missing from my storyline. I decided to age the son up from Teen. Mind you, I had just plopped them down In Oasis Springs and before they even went inside their new abode, I aged him up via MCCC. I get a pop up and he's a Valedictorian! He never even attended Copperdale. Not once. Never set foot on that lot. LOL Wow, if I only knew then what I know now. Or maybe it's a fluke.
