I've had problems with counters connected to the following aspirations:
Master Vampire - I had one Grand Master Vampire that couldn't get past 17 days and another whose days kept resetting to zero. These issues affected Vampires in a game that I stopped playing about 6 months ago because of several Vampire glitches, several of which have not been fixed even though they have been reported many times. What's the rush, right?
Angling Ace - I have one Sim whose counter shows -9 fish caught and another whose meter chronically resets to zero. That's another game I put on hold waiting for a fix.
Freelance Botanist - I have several Sims who get odd fluctuations in connection with the number of Excellent quality plants they evolve. Some Sims get no credit for days while others seem to get double credit. Some numbers fluctuate if I put something in or take something out of a Sims' s personal inventory.
