When a vampire appears on the lot, it will only break in and feed on sims if everyone is asleep, otherwise it will leave. I hardly ever have a fully asleep household when the vampire swings by, so I miss out on a lot of attacks. I don't think I can realistically train myself to send all my sims to bed by nine, and some households include non-sleeping entities anyway. So my question is, are there any mods that allow vampires to break in and feed even if the resident sims are awake?

I found a workaround. MCCC allows me to take control over the visiting vampire and "Feed" is an option. Since I had a die on my desk for another aspect of the challenge, I rolled which of my sims would get targeted and then proceeded with the attack.But I'm still interested in any tips or mods regarding this issue!

I'd actually be curious if there's a mod to make it more frequent, too, because I've literally never seen a vampire attack past the initial tutorial one with Vlad.I actually thought Maxis disabled it because of people complaining it when the pack first launched or something.

I was going to say that I still have vampire attacks happening, but, wow, looking at my screenshots I had one last week, two in March and one in November. That's... not many. Especially taking into account that out of these four two failed due to the target sims being awake.The vamp will close in, BB gets greyed out, the vamp does its menacing vampire walk, but when it realizes that sims are awake, it'll revert to normal and be all "Hey, all in good faith, only joking, how was your day?". With my MCCC approach every instance of a vampire ringing the doorbell (and for some reason that happens a lot) constitutes an attack.

I love vampires, so I was pretty sad one the feature got pretty much nerfed. I have seen Vlad visit some of my houses, and Caleb has visited others. Not a huge amount, but enough so it isn't completely gone.
However, I did lock doors to just the household, because when I first got the pack, Vlad bit one of my Sims through a tutorial type game play. After that, he had a biting problem, especially with my female Sims, which I make more of, but my males weren't safe either.
I managed to chase him away with one house when I had a male vampire flirt with him.

My sim is friends with Calab Vatore. Calob was visiting one day. he stayed a very long time. Well, they were dancing and suddenly Calab bit my sim and drank his fill. I have never seen that before so I was really surprised by it.

That was Thirst Desperation :) When their Thirst need drops too low, vampires attack the nearest sim no matter what. There's a power in the highest tier that prevents desperation attacks. I think it is required for the Good Vampire aspiration, but Caleb may not have unlocked it yet.

Although unexpected I was happy. I never stop a vampire from biting my sims. And depending what save I am in and how I'm playing sometimes if my sim gets bit I turn them and pretend the vampire bite did it.
