Vampire pack worth getting?

I know I just missed the sale but I've been wondering is the vampire pack worth getting? The only thing I don't want are my sims randomly turning into vampires! I remember someone saying there is a way you can turn this off like in game options, your sims will still get bit but not turn? The only reason I want to get the pack is because I've been wanting to make a supernatural kind of family, a ghost, alien, vampire, and a werewolf! I would need the werewolf pack as well! Wonder if there will be another sale soon?

  • The vampire pack is great. I bought it mostly for build/buy items but I have a lot of fun when I play vampires. At the moment I'm playing a save which features 3 fledgling dynasties - vampires, mermaids, and spellcasters. I've only started recently but it's going to be interesting to see how each one progresses.
  • I bought the Vampire Pack as I enjoy occults as well as non-occult families in my game. I like that you can lock the door to prevent vampires from entering for games I play where I don't won't much occult involvement, and the ability to let them in by keeping door unlock when I do want them. I really like the way the gameplay for vampires is set up, a challenge at times and fun too! I was also very happy with the CAS/build items. i love building "haunted" gothic style homes and this pack gave me so much to add to that style. I know that a bite doesn't change a person, but all a sim needs to do is befriend one and they can be turned. I have a game that I started setting up for playing all the occults, and I am looking forward to playing. Think it will be fun! @CareyEve36 if you enjoy occult play, I would definitely recommend the vampire pack!

Yes! I would also suggest a few mods like:
    LittleMsSam’s More Vampire Powers
No Vampire Weaknesses (can’t remember who makes it)
Icemummum has a some wonderful Vampire CC Foods.
  • I love the pack despite the fact that if you want vampires in your game, even if you have the pack, you have to practically go get them yourself. If you don't seek them out and/or play them directly, they may or may not come to you. In my games, I have to go knocking and beg or the only contact I would have is occasionally seeing Caleb as a vendor or barkeep.

The mods for the pack are splendid, especially those by Zero.

Just like to add that I thought it was designed like a sim who reads up on the vampire lore will get more involved with vampires visiting etc? So, activating the interest might trigger the features? I might be wrong. In general I appreciate that not all my homes get invaded by vampires, it allows me having just a few sims that are into it.
  • I recommend anyone who's interested in some Supernatural Victorian fun to get the following packs if they don't have them. They are:
Vampires, Realm of Magic, Werewolves, Spooky & Paranormal. They all go together really well. ;)
