As you level up your vampire you will have the ability to pick their strengths and weaknesses. Getting sick from food is a weakness you can select but you don't have to. I haven't experimented with any of my vampires eating regular food though. All of my vamps just drink blood, but I'm assuming if you don't have this weakness you can eat anything in game.
Yes I didn't give them that weakness because I do love cooking in the game. I mean a mod that will have their thirst satisfied by regular food. My vampires still drink from other sims too but I was just looking for a mod that I had in sims 3 if someone made it. Make sense?
