Tbf I did some pretty cruel stuff in the Sims 1 back in the day, but I would never dream of doing it in real life because I know right from wrong, and that a game is a game. I was only 8 when I started playing the Sims, yet I still understood this. It's the same as the argument people make about shooters making kids shoot people. It only ever happens when that particular kid had serious psychological issues and was predisposed to doing it. The game alone isn't enough to cause someone to do it.
