So from what I saw on the live stream it seems sims & pets will just wondering wherever, even into exam rooms when they should be in the waiting room. That is disappointing.
Also concerning is that our pets are suppose to/will get sick every few sims days. The only way to stop this and keep them healthy is to take them to the Vet or go to the Vet and buy treats to keep them healthy. So Vet or Vet or Vet. Money, Money, and Money. It seems pets might be for wealthier sims as the Vet trips looked expensive.
I really don't want vet visits and sick pets to be the focus of all my pets game play.
While I am slightly concerned about pets getting sick “every few days” I think it is realistic to a degree that vets are expensive because they are in real life. I’m a dog breeder in real life and vet bills are frequent when you consider worming/flea and other preventative measures cost to keep our dogs and cat free from nasty things. The amount we pay to the vet for our current litter for health checks, worming etc not to mention the c section our female needed is eye watering.. but necessary. So actually I’m glad that vets aren’t dirt cheap or free in the game because that’s not a reflection on real life.
It is realistic, but pets getting sick so often it will quickly rack up into an unrealistic debt. Pets getting sick so often is really unrealistic as well. I've had many many outside cats over the last sixteen years and I think we only had to take any of them to the vet twice for illness.
(Something I found rather miraculously was they never have had an flea problems. Sometimes they would come in for a day and sleep in the beds or in for a few weeks because of weather and we had no problems.)
My dogs have always been more expensive, but they are purebred and more prone to certain disorders/disease.
