Violinist not gaining fame?

Thanks @Jordan061102 It worked when my sim traveled to a community lot. I'm surprised though tht he could not gain fame from performing in the community area nearby his home. Assuming he was still seen as being at home, technically.

the only thing that hugely boosts my musician sim's (predominately guitar) fame is having an online presence. I can never get sims to care about their performances at the lounge, no matter how good my sims are. how old.

The one thing about performing at lounges that bugs me is that other Sims will come up and perform at the same time; I'll have Johnny Zest running routines at the lounge and another Sim with an Entertainer assigned role will start playing the electric piano or guitar. Wish that would be turned off when a Sim is already performing. If the entertainer is performing when an active Sim arrives, clicking on the microphone/instrument to perform should trigger the entertainer to stop performing and take a break.
