I'd like to buy the kit too, but I'm waiting to see if they balance it :/ It should be possible to turn it completely off (no +2 inspired moodlet or stuff like that) and not receive gifts from dust bunnies without asking for them (and maybe more cheaper gifts too, so the big ones would feel more special).
I also probably wouldn't mind slower dust accumulation, because then I'd most likely play it with more families, but if the dust resets everytime I visit another lot or switch families it kind of doesn't make sense to make the dust accumulation slower... I'd have to wait for ages to have a filthy home if I wanted to play in one. I could use the lot trait options @mightysprite suggested.
