The no nerfs attitude is so mind boggling to me as someone who games outside of the sims, especially mmo's. When something is overpowered you balance it. Granted, this is a singleplayer game and not an MMO, but it is clearly unbalanced.
It's different from nerfing vampires to almost never show up, this is something that quite literally breaks the game and makes it completely unbalanced if you don't turn it off. Your sims can get 80k a night from doing NOTHING. There is no option to it, you are forced into it, or disable the pack entirely.
I don't get it either.
Imagine playing Call of Duty: Warzone and the developers adds a gun that you can buy which is completely overpowered over all other guns, completely breaking the game, everyone who doesn't have the gun loses all the time. And instead of telling the developers to nerf the gun the players say. "Just don't buy the gun then."
Imagine playing Animal Crossing, the developers add a house that you can place that just gives you fruit and resources all the time, no need to farm or fish or do anything. And the instead of telling the developers, the players just say "Just don't get the house then."
Balancing is part of game development, but when it comes to the sims people seems to have just given up because Maxis don't care enough to do balancing when they release their packs. So it's either "deal with it" or "get out".
