I don't want the bunnies removed. I think they are cute and they will be used sort of like imaginary friends for the sim children in my game. I just want the autonomous money collecting to to stop. I don't even care if they bring expensive stuff when being asked because I don't use that feature. I like my sims to earn their lifestyle not be handed it for doing nothing.
Without the money collecting, the bunnies are useless. And I paid for that feature.
Well in that case they should give us an option to turn it off. I bought the pack for vacuuming. I didn’t buy it so my sims could be treated like spoiled babies that don’t need to work for the things that make their lives better.
What about having to befriend a dust bunny before they become profitable? That's fair, considering dust bunnies can be destroyed. And I'm sure they become unprofitable currently if their mood is very low. It's just that, as soon as one is destroyed another materialises, giving an illusion they're highly profitable.
That seems like it would be fair. Even so, my problem (and from what I'm reading, others as well) is not that you can ask them for money or gifts - that's fine. I don't want that to go away either, although it's stretching things to get an item worth thousands on a regular basis. I'm exasperated by the type of situation in which my sim can literally be asleep, a dust bunny materializes, and money appears. My sim wakes up, vacuums up the dust bunny with no interactions, another one materializes, and money appears. If it just the bunny, that's great - and that's what I expected and willingly paid for. I want the option to interact with it, ask it for gifts, make friends with it, and get money. But I also want the option NOT to.
