I don't think anyone expected dust bunnies to automatically generate money just by their existance, so... That's something you wouldn't know until you bought the pack.
Personally I adore the dust bunnies, but I've had to disable the dust system (the entire POINT of the kit) because it is seriously out of whack. I started a new family just to play with the BtD pack and they are... rich. DBs have brought me every emotion tree fruit possible, plus multiple money tree fruits. So yay for a strong start but...
Just way WAY too fast building up dust, and it seems that the size of your family has zero influence on this. My new couple was drowning in dust and filth fiends within days, not even a week Sims-time. It's also ridiculous in the extreme that the dust level increase will literally appear around an actively vacuuming Sim! If you have a single room house you -might- be able to keep up since they foolishly vacuum the entire room from one spot. *eyeroll* But it has begun negatively affecting my gameplay even with it TURNED OFF.
I moved them into a new house after disabling the adorable bunny-making mess, and it went swimmingly for some time. Then a dust bunny spontaneously burst into being in my entryway. Say what?? Ok, go into the menu and make sure BtD is turned off. It is. Damn. Turned it back on and then back off hoping to reset it. What I got was a brief interlude where my house was suddenly packed to the brim with dirt piles and filth fiends, then they all vanished. You know what didn't vanish? The negative moodlet of living in an 'indescribably filthy' home. Even 2 moodlet solver potions had zero effect on this particular annoyance.
I tried my best to achieve the filthy aspiration but yanno what? No trash cans in my game are kickable. I've played over a week IRL on this family and nowhere I go has had a trash can with an option to kick it over. None. None of them even have trash I can rummage through ffs! It's like the BtD kit disabled all my trash cans in all my worlds, even at an event in Myshuno there wasn't a thing I could even scavange for, let alone kick one over. I literally cannot finish this stupid aspiration because all my trash cans are broken. >:[
And now my Sims are stuck with apparently permanent negative 'indescribably filthy' moodlets even though the pack is turned off. I'm beyond annoyed at that.
I guess I'll look for a way to uninstall that pack and leave it out of my game entirely until such time as the bugs and lack of balance have been worked out, because it's literally more aggravation than it's worth.
To be clear, I'm playing on a PS4, no mods, no cheats.
