Waiting time before being able to reapply for university?

Well, a little question/problem, I didn't find a good answer for (yet):

I had my new Sim apply for university straight from the beginning.
But between applying and getting an answer from the universities, my Sim gained a few skills.

So, now I would like her to reapply (without enrolling in university and quitting it beforehand), in order to get a chance to enroll for a distinguished degree.
So, as I already have been waiting for serveral days (with always getting "Your sim applied to recently", when wanting to reapply), I want to ask, how long I have to wait before I am able to apply for a second time.

  • Addendum:
Seems like it was roughly a week after sending my last application. I just needed to have more patience ...
and now I am able to enroll for all distinguished degrees :)
  • Good to know, and good luck to your sims with their distinguished degree then!
  • Glad you figured it all out. I uploaded my Sims in order to place them into a new game save, hoping to fix some problems I was having. I couldn't just place them into Uni, so I had to put them all back with their parents' homes. This was good as it enabled me to use the MCCC mod to reconnect their relationship with their parents. Phew. Then I had the thought I would have to seek scholarships for them again, only to learn in the process, the ones they had applied for previously were still grayed out. I stopped the process and then used the debut cheat to enroll them back into Britechester-U. Problem was they no longer had the stuff from their inventories, which meant those excellent quality presentation boards were all gone. All seven of them. I take this group of Sims through together. Longer story short, I ended up going back to the save they started in, did a game repair, to fix the other problem I was having, and they each made their presentation before the end of that second term. Yay.
  • I think waiting time for university is too long overall. My sims usually already has a career going and a family of their own cooking before anything happens with the application so most of the time I just let them skip it, as it becomes meaningless and too late. Application should be done already in their teens so they can start immeditately as they turn young adults and it should take one day maximum from application to get it approved or not.
