I think it all boils down to how you play the game.I don't just push through to finish because if I did I would definitely get bored.I have different saves with different sims working towards different game goals.It took me 2 days just to find lots and witches on the gallery that I wanted to add to the save that I plan on using for witches.I also usually start with brand new sims that means no skills,no inventory stuff and very little money.At this point my sims haven't even leveled up yet.
As an example of how slow I take it I have yet to complete the Strangerville story line.
