Earlier in the thread, someone said their loading screens were five seconds. I haven't timed them on my MacBook, but sometimes they are definitely more than a minute. For example, I read most of the responses on page one of this thread while waiting for my Sim to travel from the Spice Festival to home. I make many decisions in the game based on not wanting to wait through loading screens. I stay on one lot for as long as possible, unless I really need something somewhere else. I would give up multitasking to be able to go more places without a loading screen.
