Way for Sims to buy OTHER Sims written books?
Basically I want to create 3 authors, all of who will have written a collection of different books that I want to be famous in my town.
Obviously I'd like/have sims read/have copies of their books too (like a trilogy written by tolkien XD) and in the Sims 3 once you published you could buy them from any bookstore as any sim. I'm not sure why this simple feature has not been added to the game yet but from last I checked only the sim who wrote the book can keep a copy, correct?
I did a bunch of search and so far the only option I've found is to make a copy of the book and then place it in another sims inventory. Although I've never transferred inventory between 2 sim households before...I assume it can be done? So I guess the other option is to put said sim into your household (who wants a copy) transfer the book and then remove the sim author?
The other option I read is to create a book store and sell them there, however I'm not clear how this works. Like do I have to make endless copies and stock shelves with them? Honestly I'm not even sure if you can setup a household, create a book store AND THEN leave it, play another sim to visit another sims bookstore (is that possible?) and buy books. I mean in a sense that would be somewhat logical idea to have a bookstore with all the towns authors published books in one place I suppose, but I'm not clear if I can buy from shops playing as other sims with custom inventory like that. I haven't really played a lot with shops tbh.
