We need bigger lots!

Holy moly - those are huge sizes! I think the biggest lot, I've ever touched was 50x50 and that was for a park. Biggest house I've built on is 40x40.

Those defenitely are huge sizes. I don't know, when I really try to create something that is actually grand and palace like I run out landscaping space very quickly. I would love to create way bigger ornamental gardens for instance, but it is a bit impossible if the palace is already huge. Maybe just one lot with a bigger size, instead of multiple ones?

More power to you m'dear! I'm always in awe of Simmers that can create such majestic builds!

I wish there was a way to do more freebuilding unrestricted by lot size since building is such a huge component of the game that a lot of people use almost exclusively.

With a big lot you can do all kinds of landscaping designs, trees, flowers. You can't do anything with small lots, it's wall to wall house. You don't have to have a big house just because the lot is big.

I'd like a wide variety of lot sizes and the ability to go up at lest 7 levels. I'm trying a large Victorian from Bermuda, but the largest lot I have is 50x50 which is not enough to properly do the ends of the wings, and it won't let me go above the 3rd floor - with 2 more and a pointed roof to go. Not to mention there is precious little room for landscaping.

That stinks. We absolutely need more levels. A few times I was trying to build a mansion with a souterrain (ground floor, low height wall), a main floor, a first floor and a mansard roof. I wanted the mansard roof to be two-stories, but I couldn't because I already has four floors.
The floor limit used to be three though. That must have been terrible. But four is still not enough. More landscaping room would be much appreciated!

At least TS2 has a cheat code that lets you go up to 10. Very handy when doing Victorians with towers or other large buildings. Odd the limit is there as most of the background houses I've seen are either Victorian or Victorian based. I have an extensive collection of period plans, so can really get to it. In TS2, that is.

I agree, I want some bigger lots, but I do sympathise with people who want smaller ones. I always like building the biggest, most luxurious houses I can, but thought I should challenge myself on making something small and was surprised to find that I didn't think it was small enough! Now I know I don't have to build around the garden, but I really did want it to be limited and agree with @gummybear0724 that it should be close together for the most part (I actually like the small one in Windenburg with a lot of space around it, variety is what's it's all about). If there is too much space around the small house, it can look weird. The solution to all of this really, is to be able to set our own lot sizes.

Huh, interesting reading about how some builders want bigger lots. I want smaller lots - I use those tiny apartments so much.
