Yes. I have my screen at 75% of brightness for daily use so my eyes don't get tired and I think Windows 10 remembers that for playing the game too so it has to be altered.
We used to have to do this in past iterations. Sims 3 Supernatural was too dark for me and I had to upgrade the gamma level so that I could play it.
