Can we expect any worlds update in future?

I like the size of the lots in Del Sol Valley, it means I can put larger 1 story houses with pools.

the lot should go nearer to the edges
i am wondering if it may have to do with routing somehow but even so it just feels kinda off

and i kinda agree with number 3 del sol lot because the style of that neighborhood doesn't really say " place big expensive property here" and its very residential looking neighborhood also which doesn't make it feel like spot for big public venues

and it would have been more useful to have 3 small lots just like the driveways suggest it was supposed to be but again I am wondering if just doing one lot was kinda helpful in having more lots to the world (even if its world people constantly say has too few lots)
or maybe like since they did it like this we can choose which road is like "front of the house" which is kinda neat

number 1 I don't really mind if lot is not connected to path tbh thats chill for me but im very annoyed when lots are connected to paths/ on some type of area with stone/wood whatever and we don't have matching terrain paint or floor to it

number 6 i don't really mind tbh i like those lots yeah lots are maybe bit small but its also like personal preference to not have huuuge lots cause i tend to build small :sweat_smile:

number 5 is little awkward too yeah its just kinda like why would you build long boi residentials in the middle sticking out like that kinda weird thing and the lots are also tiny

number 4 is yeah idk i haven't really managed to build anything on those del sol hills lots cause im just not fan of modern mega mansions so :sweat_smile: waiting for inspiration but idk if the lots are also bit challenging in shapes

@Sthenastia I can sympathize with this. Those lots in Del Sol valley, oh boy. I was stumped until I finally decided they were only good for a really run down "motel" and a cheap "apartment building". Of course they don't function as such, but still. They fit the neighborhood vibe, and it's an easy place to store sims. Right now my "apartment building" has been changed to the Broken Dreams Nursing Home, where old Sims go to wait to die. There are 8 widowed elders there chilling by the pool and such.

Looking at the Newcrest map, there's certainly space for two or three extra lot spaces.

I totally agree, the lot placements are often wayy off, being just too far from the pavements so we can’t connect them properly, and being weirdly shaped for spaces made for them.. not only that i hate all the weird prebuilt driveways! glimmerbrook and strangerville are 2 amazing neighbourhood locations, ruined by the driveways.
I nearly always resort to building in the base game maps for this reason, most of the lots are connected nicely to the pavements and roads here, so you can add your own driveways to match the vibe of the house you’re building. They also give us a decent number of blank lots all together in one neighbourhood, so we can build our own mini suburbia or street however we want. That’s why whenever people talk about all these different requested map locations and themes, I simply ask for blank suburban streets we can mould however we see fit.

I just wish they would give us one blank map where we could place our own lots like in previous sim games. A world editor seems to be off the table, but I’m sure they could give us some kind of blank slate to work with, place our own lots and maybe a couple trees or rocks in the background.. It would solve the problems for people wanting larger lots or loads of smaller ones etc.

The art team carries this game, and I think they realise this. If they didn’t build up these pretty backdrop neighbourhoods, I think it would be super obvious they aren’t really giving us much with new packs.. Either way I’m so over shell neighbourhoods at this point..

Those lots that you can't connect to the road are the worst offenders. It becomes really obvious when you want to create a house with pavements that stop at the front gate. The designers must have grown up on a ranch and muddy pathways seem natural to them. ?

Well tbh maybe the reason I'm not bothered is cause i live in the countryside and our whole roads are muddy pathways :lol:

I just find it annoying when i can't have the exact shade matched cause why would i use different shade of mud on my yard specifically when whole other neighborhood is another shade

None of those things matter to me, it's not like the game isn't playable *shrug*

I don’t like most of the pre- builds.

Oftentimes whoever built it didn’t really consider the environment, so a structure can look extremely out of place.
I usually blast the bricks out of ‘em and build my own and make it work in the game, however, the pre-builds should be good enough for those who have no interest in building.
I’d love a Create a World/ Neighborhood Tool to give us full control over world building and lot placement. It’d be such a game changer!
