We shuldn't judge this as Superstar 2 ?

I just find if I've worked out in my mind what is going to be in it or should be in it (according to all knowing me) I could or will end up disappointed. That has happened twice for me so far that almost shattering disappointment.. because I worked myself up. I like to just see what they have set up open my eyes to it and give it a try.. I usually enjoy it all much better that way and appreciate things I might have overlooked or even scoffed at in my anger and disappointment over my expectation not being met. Too much of a roller coaster to deal with regularly.
Since I think this game is long term and most things I want will come (if it suits the way the game is set up). I try not to worry or obsess.

Yes. Although it's very wrong to say this is anything like Showtime.

Showtime was about singers yes, but it was also about magicians and acrobats. Basically it was a pack focused on performing on stage and there were 3 different careers that allowed sims to do so. The pack didn't have acting nor a celebrity system, nor bands, Late Night had.

I would agree. Perhaps Mystic is thinking because showtime had careers that were active and Get famous has an active career. I’m not really sure of course as it’s not my opinion.

I’m pretty sure Influencer is a branch from the acting career? ? I could be wrong but I swear I saw that written somewhere. Can someone check? Also we’re also getting the Stylist career (which is active according to CL rules) for free so there’s that. ☺️

people tend to get to excited in general over new packs I have been playing sims since sims 2 and was pretty active back then and it was the same then to. There was always complaints because of the hype train.

People just thrive off of speculation :/ just shows their mentality really lol we barely have anything to go by except a teaser which does exactly what it says teases !

I dunno. I think we've got to keep being harsh on EA. EA doesn't make the packs but they give the devs orders. This is the company that likes Microtransactions so much they're telling a number of countries in Eutrope that they've interpreted their own gambling laws wrong, after all.

In News, they mention donning disguises, and to me that sounds interesting. Is that another clothes group you earn by being famous?

Even though I am not excited about this pack, I do not look at this pack as Superstar and do not care if it was, some of the themes add to the game. However people have an right to judge the pack as they see fit.

The main difference between The Sims Superstar and The Sims 4 Get Famous is that in Superstar, fame is a career (the first active career to be honest). If sim had a career and they searched for an agent, then they had give up their old one to become famous and if they took up a new job, they weren't famous anymore, while in Get Famous, fame is a status. This means any sim (even children) can be famous by skills, careers and befriending celebrities. It seems it works like in The Sims 3 Late Night, but according to SimGurus, they have made it harder to get famous and added perks and quirks.
Also it is the third expansion pack to start with "Get", so we're back to gets...

At least something like that. The point is that they've said that sims won't become famous as easily as in The Sims 3.
