The minute I saw the raised curbs and meridian - in base game I knew at least that world would never have cars or bikes or anything else that required roadway programming. Sims 1 - 2- and 3 all had roads and road programming in base game even though Sims 1 and 2 had no ownable cars in base game - they did have usable vehicles though. Eventually Sims 2 did get ownable cars as well, sims 1 never did.
Sims 4 has none of that.
True. Curious by the way, since you specifically mention ‘at least that world’, do you think other worlds might have the option or might get the option? Meaning, do you think it’s the Sims 4 design in general or just a choice in particular worlds?
I don't see in the programming thus far. I don't see how unless now a days it can be added after the fact. It used to be programming in the original build for the base programming - but perhaps it is different now. Still it seems like a heck of a lot of recoding just for starters never mind all else that would entail. But no, I would say it's not possible.
There is a code among programmers: Even if it is improbable, nothing is impossible in programming. My middle son says that a lot, he's a C++/C# Programmer.
As someone who wants witches that ride brooms well personally I do hope they figure a way to bring usable roads to the game - the brooms needed the road programming in Sims 2 and 3 - especially 3 to use the broom to go other places. So no roads is not just an issue for cars, but brooms, bikes, and a host of other things that depended on that programming to be functional.
