Wedding attire

ditch black and white entirely? blue, cream, green, burgundy :)

Tentatively going with white for both, but if I was you, I'd take them both into CAS and try on all three combinations. Maybe have them walk around in natural lighting a little. Then decide which combo you liked best. (In Sims mobile trying on wedding attire is a quest of it's own, that gave me this idea).

I picked both wear white. White is symbolic of purity, and a clean start so I figure two white tuxedos symbolize them coming to a new life together with pure intentions. :)

I like the contrast of black/white especially if you can get the same tux in inverse colors, but only if they have very different personalities. The whole yin yang aspect appeals to me I guess.

Dress them according to their personality and don't restrict yourself just yet.

This. It's hard to choose not knowing the sims' personalities.

Mostly I have one Sim wearing black and the other Sim wearing white, but not always. It really depends on the Sims. One of my female Sims wore bright red wedding dress, because it suited her personality and one male Sim wore pink & white suit for the same reason.

I don't usually have weddings often, I just make the couple elope. I only have weddings for my favorite Sims.

I think non traditional weddings and couples don't have to follow the black and white rules. I agree with @Lustianicia that white tuxes are often ugly. Black doesn't have to be plain - there are brocaded suits and suits with different coloured shirts. But @Nindigo makes an excellent point on thinking outside the box. My fairy sims wore green and blue outfits.
