Wedding cake - don't trust the caterer to do it!

Tip: make the wedding cake yourself BEFORE planning the wedding. I hired a caterer believing it would make a wedding cake for me like other caterers have done at other events I have planned. Howev...

Caterers and bartenders are definitely broken. They either do absolutely nothing except dance, or they constantly serve a ton of food and endless drinks. I had a small party with 6 guests and at the end I had 15 untouched drinks laying around the place! I also have yet to see a caterer make any cakes for events. :\
