This was well thought out and I'd buy it in a heartbeat. The thing I take umbrage at is this: -Sims should have the ability to check up on each other at work.
Unless your Sim married a divorced Sim, or a known player, this is a violation of TRUST. Trust is needed to make any relationship work, but particularly a marriage. I only call my hubby at work when I need to convey something of importance that cannot wait until he gets home. Like the dog just died. (Don't laugh, that just happened, earlier this month.) If a Sim can't trust their life-partner why did they get married? So that you can put credence to my words, 2018 brings us to our 44th anniversary.
I like every other aspect you brought up. Like I said, I would buy it in a heartbeat. It sounds every bit as thorough as Parenthood. EA, are you listening? Please, this would be great.
