I like the welcome welcome. I just moved one of my YA Sims out of her mother's home and her new neighbors showed up to greet her. One of the neighbors went to the fridge and started to prepare a meal which mightily upset my sim. :p
ETA: I rarely start/play new households so I have limited experience with the Welcome Wagon but looking forward to moving out my next sim just to see who shows up.
