Welcome Wagon won't leave

The Welcome Wagon had been at my sim's house for about 4 or 5 hours and show no signs of leaving. I have no "ask to leave" option and the Goodbye option does no good. How do I get them out of the ho...

My sim's wife came home from work and she was able to tell him to leave.
