A different kind of Murphy's Law...

Something similar happened to one of my sims. Had the Murphy bed for all of and day, by night he was dead. That was the last time I used the contraption in my sims houses. ?

It's suggested you upgrade the Murphy Bed, but I'm with you. I don't trust the thing. LOL Although to make space in that itty bitty cabin it's basically a must.

My sims upgrade plumbing and washing machines, but for some reason never get around to upgrading beds or anything else. ?

UPDATE:

Decided Robert deserved a second chance. Started the Money scenario with him. Same apartment.
Things are chugging along. Due to harder skill gain difficulty in MCCC no doubt, Robert was failing more auditions than he passed two full game weeks in. Even braved the terrible Murphy bed a couple times (mostly it stayed down).

Well, the dryer breaks and the laptop breaks, (yep…). Robert got zapped by the dryer and I didn’t stop him going to repair the laptop. Tempting fate…

Yes, I managed to kill him a second time by a different method. Electrocution. I take this as a sign Robert is a cursed Sim. :*

This reminds me of the Sim I had in Sims 3 that kept getting electrocuted by his music player. He was doing that singing telegram gig and kept getting killed on the job. I kept rolling back the save, but it kept happening. I finally decided this wasn’t random and the game was really trying to kill him, so I did an investigation. He was a flirty sim and had dated and dumped several girls, including Holly Alto. Turned out he had made mortal enemies with her mob boss daddy. I had to move him out of town to keep him alive!
