@Simmerville, I sympathize with you as that has happened a few times to me as well. Now I try to remember to save during the game, or after completing certain things when I am building. It is very frustrating when you spend all that time completing thing you want to do and then lose it! Wishing you luck that the crashes stop for you! @Katofhyrule12, I agree that Windows is part of the problem. Hoping my grandson can figure out the best build for a new computer that will play all of my games well.
Thanks, both! Worst is that I suspect that it is not actually the crashing of the app that caused the game to crash, but the 2 popup windows that the app insists on showing me to tell me that the app had it's "temporarily lost contact" issue. I was in the operation of clicking on stuff while that event lagged my game, and I think my clicking before I realized the app was preparing its 2 popups (they take some time to launch obviously), helped the crash. I wish those popups could rather be coded to stay behind my gaming window, not insisting on showing in front of everything. That's what makes them extremely annoying, regardless of game crashing or not. I'm used to the app crashing btw, it happens after a while (1 hr?) every gaming session. I have no problem with app losing contact at I *always* play offline anyway. When it crashes I normally just keep playing and everything works fine. I'll be better at saving more often, for sure. Thankfully I did not lose any building, only some furnishing and decor - everything is now fixed.
